Chucking Out Time for Pub Landlord Al Murray

Pub Landlord and Hell's Kitchen survivor Al Murray became the first student to be voted off "Comic Relief Does Fame Academy".
Al Murray Is the First Celebrity Student To Leave Comic Relief Does Fame Academy 2.
Al's rendition of 'Stuck In The Middle' went down well in the studio but he was one of the 3 celebs who polled the least votes from the public. Funny girl Jenny Eclair and impressionist Jon Culshaw were the other two. Jenny was saved by the judges and Jon was saved by the other 11 celebs.
Al reacted with mock horror and cried comedy tears as he left the contest!

Two celebrity judges joined Fame Academy headmaster Richard Park on the panel. Operatic Strictly Come Dancing Series 1 contestant Lesley Garrett represented the world of voice and Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood represented the world of dance!

Vocal coaches David and Carrie Grant sat on the sidelines but were miked up so they could chip in with their responses to the goings on.

Craig soon reminded us that he can equal Richard Park in the Mr Nasty stakes! He criticised Kim Medcalf's competent opening performance, telling Kim "...I don't like the sound of your voice, it's really whiney... It would really get on my nerves listening to that sound!"

Later David Grant (who obviously didn't like the sounds coming out of Craig's voice!) told the choreographer "We all know in this room... you wouldn't know a crotchet from a hatchet!"

In the spirit of Jo Brand and Ruby Wax before her, Gina Yashere has a humorous take on Fame Academy, "We need bad singers that people can go and watch and say 'yes, I can be like her!"
Here is tonight's song-sheet.
