Alex gets ready to chart her career!

Alex's career gets into full swing over the next few weeks, beginning with her appearance on 'Top of the Pops' on Friday (24th October 2003) where she will be giving us all a preview of the forthcoming debut single "Maybe That's What It Takes". The single will be released on November 17th and will be "Double-A" sided, the other song being her much-loved cover of the Christine Aguilera's "Beautiful". The CD will also include the song "Over Conscious" which Alex penned in the Academy. (The microcassette version of the single won't this track).
This will be followed on November 24th (a week later) with Alex's debut album, "Introduction". As well as the songs from the single it is rumoured that this will include a mix of Alex's own compositions and some of Alex's favourite covers from the Fame Academy show, including the much-loved "Beautiful" which she sang in the final.Alex Parks entertains the Covent Garden crowd.
Polydor have also confirmed to Alex's local newspaper "The West Briton" that a second album is in the offing. The West Briton reported that Alex's intense work schedule since leaving Fame Academy drove her to exhaustion, resulting in her taking a few days enforced rest in order to recover. Let's hope Alex soon gets a well earned couple of weeks off so that she can sit back and enjoy her achievements.
