Saturday 4th October - The Final Three

Hard luck Carolynne!
Or should that be well done for coming 3rd in a field of 12000? Carolynne gave two of her best performances of the series, impressing the panel, especially guest panelist Jonathan Ross. (Apparently she made him feel like a woman!) Unfotunately the competition just got too tight, but if you're going to go, you may as well go in style, which is exactly what Carolynne did. Carolynne Good loses herself in song.
Around 1.5 million votes were registered and Carolynne took it well when she didn't make the final two. Her message to her two buddies was "Just go for it in the next show".
Full of smiles she told Cat Deeley "I’m cool, I’m fine, I’m so happy this evening that nothing’s going to bring me down."
Tonights show started out with each of the final students performing a cover version.
Carolynne   "Man I Feel Like A Woman" (Shania Twain)
Alistair  "If You Come Back" (Blue)
Alex  "Baby Can I Hold You" (Tracy Chapman)
...then they followed up by each singing their favourite of the songs they have sung whilst at the Academy...
Carolynne   "Underneath Your clothes" (Shakira)
Alistair “Wherever You Will Go” (The Calling)
Alex  "Beautiful" (Christina Aguilera)
The performances were all good which allowed the panel to be generally quite kind. (Ahem, well Richard Park still doesn't like Alistair!)
A clip taken earlier in the week showed the students taking a peek at the home comforts that go with that that £1 million record contract of a prize. They surveyed the winners home, complete with luxury fittings and pink sofa , wow...no wonder Alex wants to win now!
As the show closes there are just over 2 hours before the result is revealed. The voting is really close, with less than 1000 votes between the top two at the start of todays show, so if you want to vote your favourite in you'd better be quick!
