Peter Brame - The Academy's Wild Child!
Date of Birth: 17th July 1979
| Once you've seen Peter perform it is unlikely you will ever forget him! The stage is his playground and he compels you to watch him play. He describes his style as Indie-Rock but really the best way to describe it is "indescribable", you have to watch him, he's a wild child!. When you do, it is really kind of hard to imagine him in his former role of management trainee! It's far easier to visualise him doing his rock 'n' roll apprenticeship around the bars and clubs of Colchester. | |
In his televised heat Peter gave a unique performance of The Monkees' "The Last Train To Clarkesville", which panellist Robin Gibb described as "…better than the original". The public seemed to agree with that verdict and voted him into the Academy.
Some people ask 'Can he really sing?' His frenetic approach sometimes gets in the way of vocal clarity, but his vocal coach Carrie is convinced he is a great singer as well as a great performer.
Peter was the 10th student to be evicted from the Academy (on Saturday 27th September).
